The farm which is ideally suited for walking, sightseeing or touring the Heart of Wales - Elan Valley, Red Kite Feeding Station at Rhayader, Powis Castle, Hergest Croft gardens, Dan yr Ogof caves, Offa's Dyke at Knighton, the small market towns of Kington, Builth Wells, Rhayader, and Hay-on-Wye with its famous book shops.
The area also offers a variety sporting and other activities:-
Indoor Bowling at Llandrindod Wells, Golf at Llandrindod's breathtaking hilltop course (11/2 miles), at Builth (6 miles), and a Championship course at Cradoc (24 miles).
The Royal Welsh Showground is at Llanelwedd, near Builth Wells, where every July the increasingly popular agricultural show is held, it is also home to numerous events throughout the year from car rallies to sheep sales.

The 'Welsh' two day trial is one of several motorcycle enduro trials, in mid June.
Local trotting-races are held throughout the summer months.
